It is unlikely that you will be able to obtain professional, effective actor headshots for less than $200.00. Also, it is likely that actor headshot photography selling for more than $300.00 will be worth it. DO NOT shop by rates alone! Evaluate the quality of their headshots and look at their portfolio!
In our opinion, actor headshot photography services for less than $200.00 will not give you the headshots that you will need.
In our opinion, actor headshot photography services over $300.00 are overpriced. You can do better at less.

Please note: The following rate information has nothing to do with the actor headshot photography services and actor headshots offered by Tampa Bay Acting and Aurora PhotoArts Tampa Photography and Design, and is not indicative of our service rates in any way. This information is provided, as-is, to give professional actors an educated idea of what the range of fair rates are that are offered by professional Tampa headshot photographers and headshot designers.
Headshot printing is not covered yet, as this is usually a third party service contracted by photographers and headshot designers who offer such services.
Also note that headshots are a professional investment, and that actors get what they pay for. Just because a headshot service or photographer offers services at rates which are at the low end of our published range, does not mean that their services are worth it. In most cases, any services offered at the low range of the examples on this page are NOT worth it.
Most professional headshot services are not discounted, and are not offered at the low end of our range listed. Most professional headshot services will not give discounts, and this is to be expected.
Invest in your headshots from a professional headshot photographer who guarantees their work, and who charges rates toward the middle of the range of rates on this page. The middle rate range are the standard fair rates for the Tampa photography services market.

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM AUDITIONS OR JOB OFFERS WHICH SELL HEADSHOT SERVICES! Never, ever buy any actor headshots or headshot photography services from any company advertising auditions or advertising acting jobs in the paper. These are actor headshot scams which are overpriced, and where they have to trick you in order to get your business! This is a deceptive marketing practices, and it is fraud. Also, the actor headshot services sold are too expensive, and the quality of the headshots are poor. You will get tricked into wasting a lot of money on useless actor headshots!
Additionally, make sure that the actor headshot photography service is not a group service, and is not limited to a studio photography session. Often, the best actor headshots are done on location, using location-based photography! Also, if you share a session with a group of other actors, your actor headshot photography session will be rushed, and the headshots will not turn out well. The best headshots happen when the photographer spends at least thirty minutes focusing on your actor headshots! Most “group sessions” of actor headshot photography are done by acting and talent job scams which make actors buy what they are really selling before they consider them for the jobs that they advertise. These are actor headshot scams, and must be avoided!

Tampa actors:
1. You get what you pay for. We do not recommend spending any less than $200.00 for headshot photography, and no more than $350.00.
2. Only buy headshots from a professional photographer who advertises headshot services. DON’T EVER buy anything from anyone advertising auditions or jobs!
3. Only invest in actor headshots from professional photographers who have experience in headshot photography work. Avoid wedding photographers, and they will not be able to give you what they need. Also, avoid photographers with a lot of nudes and glamour modeling in their portfolios, as their work is high-risk, and may conflict with your marketability as an actor.

FAIR MARKET RATES FOR TAMPA ACTOR HEADSHOTS

$200.00 to $350.00 for Tampa headshot photography. This rate range not only apllies to just actor and talent headshot photography, but applies to all types of headshot photography. Corporate and business headshot photography runs about the same.

Most professional Tampa headshot photographers will charge between $150.00 to $350.00. Tampa actors do NOT recommend that you pay any less than $200.00 for headshot photography services, because it is unlikely that any headshot photographer who charges less than $200.00 is going to be able to give you the quality, effective headshots that you will need for your acting career. If a headshot photographer were to try to give you good headshots for less than $200.00, it is unlikely that the will succeed because it will not be cost-effective for them to do so. They will be selling themselves short, and that will likely curb their enthusiasm for doing a good job at low pay once they have your money.
Headshots are an investment. You get what you pay for.
Professional Tampa actors also do NOT recommend that you pay more than $300.00 for headshot photography services. We’ve never seen any Tampa headshot photography services for over $300.00 which were worth it. Yes, you do get what you pay for, but use some common sense. Don’t go overboard and allow yourself to be ripped off by services that cost too much!
